there are people out there who genuinely cannot wrap their head around technology and computers, no matter how simply or slowly you explain it to them. i have a friend who's both younger than me and falls into this category. it's entirely possible for someone who's technologically illiterate to accidently install a malicious script and have no idea they've done it. they deserve good cybersecurity just like the rest of us.

and i don't care that we're "beside the point". you did a "erm wel akshoolly" and were completely wrong.

how do i tell the #debian #linux team that the torrent iso for debian 13.1.0 can't be downloaded since the initial client has 0% downloaded? the others i've paused because i thought i'd try to give the vanilla netinstall iso a chance, but nope, it's not happening.................
