So, having 24+ tools and a donation page with a Silient payment section.
Of 1 year of having this address online (avb@....) it has receiver 4 donations.
Two of which was myself testing the system. And two people that sat across a table from me and wanted to see how it worked (after I donated to them).

There is close to zero real life organic adoption so far for silent payments. And that's just a damn shame.
what's the main reason for this I ask myself.
Too little use cases? (I don't believe that).
Too small number of implementations in wallets? (sure)
Too complex?

In any case, I was wondering if other bitcoiners saw the same lack of action on the Silent Payments channel?

Updated a few of my tools on the https://allesvoorbitcoin.be/21tools/ page.
Especially the DeNMS was updated to support direct image generation and decryption.
The blossom server links were removed, as ALL three blossom servers were either unstable or unavailable at times,... it's just not professional enough to work with in a reliable way for the purpose of encrypted communication. (nostr itself is fine of course, still running as intended).

After carefully examining it, I'm convinced this isn't possible with Lightning Network, at least not in a stable manner that actually works as a faucet.
We can build something that would come close (made some small scale attempt locally here), but it's something that was cool on-chain back then, but LN is not stable enough to do that imho.
Feel free to attempt though, would gladly help further.

So explain me... I've tested to zap myself some sats, even through my own nostr client.
It all worked 2 days ago. (both on zaps.lol as NIP5 "provider" (just a DNS entry) and then on nostrsplebs.
Both translated the address and delivered the sats to my actual LN address.

Now, two days later, nothing works.
I really don't get how this nostr+LN thing, after using it for 3+ years keeps failing every few weeks at minimum. There is zero redundancy or stability in your setup ever. And it's frustrating because I test my s*** and it worked.

De Europese identiteit in de EU: een automatische conformiteit?
In zijn boek Escape from Freedom (1941) beschreef Erich Fromm hoe mensen de last van vrijheid proberen te ontvluchten. Een van de mechanismen die hij benoemde, is automaton conformity – een soort robotachtige aanpassing waarbij individuen hun eigen persoonlijkheid, waarden en gedrag opgeven om precies te lijken op wat de omringende cultuur voorschrijft. Door op te gaan in de massa voelen ze zich veilig, geaccepteerd en minder alleen. Maar de prijs is hoog: ze verliezen hun authenticiteit en worden een radertje in een groter systeem.
Vandaag de dag dringt deze gedachte zich op als we kijken naar de Europese identiteit binnen de Europese Unie. De EU promoot een gedeelde identiteit gebaseerd op waarden als democratie, mensenrechten, duurzaamheid en solidariteit. Denk aan het Handvest van de Grondrechten, de groene deal of de slogans over “eenheid in verscheidenheid”. Officieel is er geen poging om nationale culturen uit te wissen, maar in de praktijk ervaren veel Europeanen – zeker in België – een subtiele druk om te conformeren aan een “Europese” norm. Die norm komt vaak neer op een gestandaardiseerde, seculiere, progressieve en bureaucratische kijk op de wereld.
In Vlaanderen en Wallonië zien we dit duidelijk. Enerzijds koesteren we onze regionale identiteiten sterk: de Vlaamse Beweging, de Waalse trots, de Brusselse meertaligheid. Anderzijds dwingt de EU-lidmaatschap ons om mee te gaan in een supranationaal verhaal. Subsidies, regelgeving, migratiebeleid, klimaatdoelen – alles komt uit Brussel en moet nationaal (en regionaal) worden vertaald. Wie kritiek uit op die top-down aanpak, krijgt al snel het label “populist” of “nationalist” opgeplakt. Het gevolg? Veel burgers passen zich aan: ze stemmen op pro-Europese partijen, herhalen de standaard discours over “Europese waarden” en vermijden discussies die te veel afwijken van de consensus. Het is veiliger om mee te gaan met de stroom dan om een eigen, afwijkende mening te formuleren.
Deze automatische conformiteit is verraderlijk omdat ze vrijwillig lijkt. Niemand dwingt je met geweld om “Europees” te denken. Het gebeurt via zachte mechanismen: media die EU-positief berichten, scholen die Europese burgerschap onderwijzen, bedrijven die ESG-criteria (milieu, sociaal, governance) volgen om EU-subsidies te krijgen. Het individu voelt zich niet langer een unieke Vlaming, Waal of Duitser, maar een “Europese burger” die dezelfde meningen hoort en dezelfde symbolen draagt: de EU-vlag naast de nationale driekleur, dezelfde liederen op 9 mei, dezelfde groene agenda.
Toch wringt het. Fromm waarschuwde dat automaton conformity leidt tot vervreemding van het eigen zelf. In de EU zien we dat terug in het democratisch tekort: burgers voelen zich vaak machteloos tegenover een complexe machine in Brussel. In plaats van echte vrijheid – de vrijheid om eigen keuzes te maken en verantwoordelijkheid te dragen – kiezen velen voor de schijnveiligheid van conformiteit. Ze worden “goed geoliede” Europeanen: welvarend, tolerant, maar diep vanbinnen leeg en onzeker over wie ze echt zijn.
Is er een uitweg? Fromm pleitte voor “positive freedom”: vrijheid om authentiek te leven, creatief te zijn en verbindingen aan te gaan zonder jezelf te verliezen. Voor de EU zou dat kunnen betekenen: meer respect voor nationale en regionale diversiteit, minder uniforme regelgeving en echte inspraak van onderuit. Een Europese identiteit die niet dwingt tot gelijkheid in denken, maar die groeit uit vrijwillige, levendige uitwisseling tussen culturen.
Zolang we blijven conformeren uit angst voor isolement of conflict, blijft de EU een project van robots in plaats van vrije mensen. Fromm’s inzicht uit 1941 blijft actueel: echte eenheid ontstaat niet door aanpassing, maar door moedige authenticiteit.

But this guy is not parasitic.

You know who IS parasitic in bitcoin? The middleman shillers, the grifters, the people that tell you there's a god candle coming every few weeks, the people telling you to sell your chairs while raking in billions and building nothing, the people residing in "whale bars" and mocking the "normie bitcoiners" ... the people that sell empty books full of historic fallacies and fantasies, the people that sell you another referal link every week...
