- Lowe's calls them "Oldcastle" planter wall blocks
- the boards are leveled by bricks underneath the corners, I laid bricks underneath along the edges bc I plan to pave around it and I just want it tidy
- this is just plastic sheeting to keep the wood from contacting the soil

Mike got his rosemary planted in the first bed. a LOT of it lol, he really loves rosemary. working on the next bed today. got the roots out of the way for the perimeter already. it's gonna be a big "L" shaped bed. still gotta put the pavers down along the edge of the porch too.

ok today's tasks took a lot longer than expected bc of some large roots around the edges where I wanted to lay bricks underneath the boards. got that sorted. laid the bricks. lined the insides of the walls to avoid contact with soil. put some soil in. need to go get some more before planting I think, but otherwise mostly finished!

oh, and all the sides are level! ^^

this is what I worked on today. Mike has been wanting some raised garden beds for herbs and vegetables. first one is framed out. still gotta line the inside of the wood tomorrow and get some dirt to fill in. he's got some rosemary he wants to plant in this one.
