The government has to respond to petitions with 10,000 signatures, which it has now done (in entirely predictable terms). For a petition with over 100,000 signatures (which this one now greatly exceeds) the Parliamentary Petitions Committee has to consider whether to hold a debate in Parliament. I’m not sure about the criticism of the drafting of the petition BTW. It come across as measured and highlights one area of genuine concern (hobby forums).
