They have been told to send their details to #ChildrenNotNumbers. Their greatest fear in reaching out is the case being turned away because they aren't in Gaza as many NGOs focus on evacuation from Gaza, and yet no one heard their call when they were still there.

The doctors in Egypt have told them there is no medical intervention available. This is at best a fib.

If you stand with people of #Palestine, please help them share their campaigns. #Lifeline4gaza lists thousand of verified survival campaigns, some of which haven't received donations in almost 2 months. The people who have gotten nothing in months or nothing at all are listed at top.

I think we might need to build a safe landing zone of sorts. Palestinians will probably be joining mastodon.social first and when they do, start tagging and DMing because they want to survive. Getting started with zero followers at this time is rough, and their efforts will quickly get them banned.

Existing verification efforts won't suffice, but perhaps we can funnel the already verified ones to not re-verify. That way we free up some of the bandwidth. I've seen multiple accounts that are verified multiple times. That could have instead been multiple verified accounts. I'm not sure on the *how*. Lifeline4gaza.com has the option to tie multiple accounts across platforms to a campaign. Adding the handle for the fedi handle would be a good first step. Mastodon verification would be better, but more difficult at this point. I have some vague thoughts, basically, but willing to take hints from organizers in the fediverse.

They need help and guidance on how to get seen on mastodon as it is very different from mainstream socials. Be kind.

Those that have been doing the mutual aid work in the fediverse might need to take the time to jot down their strategies for other volunteers.

The “Gaza Verified” space has excellent resources explaining mastodon. https://lifeline4gaza.com is looking at incorporating vetted campaigns from fedi. Let’s get the bridges built.

Palestininans are doing so much invisible work in order to be seen by us in the West so we might open our hearts. The least we can do to help is to take on some of that work. Help circulate Palestinian survival campaigns. Don't leave that work up to a handfull of volunteers. https://gaza-verified.org/people/

Donate your money, donate your time. And see them. It's very lonely business doing all that invisible work only to be ignored by us in the West.
