Just as one person could have 10 different addresses with &gt;= 1 BTC, there could be a lot of people with &gt;= 1 BTC sitting in exchange wallets. Yeah, I know, in which case they don’t *really* have &gt;=1 BTC, but I think it’s valid enough for stats. Anyway, absent any better data, I think it’s reasonable to assume that the two more or less balance each other out — number of addresses holding &gt;= 1 BTC is a reasonable approximation.
