A theory I happened across somewhere posited social media had taken the place of journaling via 'scratching the itch' that journaling is designed for. Which might have something to do with journaling falling out of widespread use.

A few people asked for pictures of the actual clothing I've sewn, and I finally got a few taken, one good enough to share.

The thing slowing me down was finding someone to take the pictures, and the cats were no help at all! So I put together a makeshift cardboard tripod thing, and it did okay.

So here's a complete homemade outfit: wool farmers pants (pattern here: ), cotton short tunic (pattern here: ), geta sandles/clogs (no pattern yet, but plenty of info on the web), and a wool hood (I will make a pattern for this, super simple, one long rectangle and two squares).

Latest project was making a pair of geta. Don't have much to say about walking in them yet, have only spent an hour doing so, I'd compare them to flip flops for how they handle so far.

Cool thing was I made them in 3 hours with just a hand saw and a drill, used just $10 for materials, and I got to see what it feels like to be 6'7"!
