I&amp;#39;m not disagreeing with you, just pointing out that your argument is a moral one. And when you&amp;#39;re talking YouTube (like the Australian example)  that doesn&amp;#39;t come into it. Strangely enough, going back to your original example, it does feel like a hill Pornhub would be prepared to die on though.

So this is more of an issue for the general public. Australia has passed laws outright banning all social media (now including YouTube) for children under 16 from December this year. This means for me to let my 7 year old daughter have access to YouTube, I need to either let her do it without an account and be unrestricted, or teach her how to use a VPN. Neither of these are viable options.
