I’ve been playing with a node a bit, but I’m in a low-lying area with a lot of trees and I don’t get much range. I’m curious to hear what experiences others have.

Plus there was a nice little earthquake this morning to remind me.

I've seen some discussion about using #meshtastic #LoRA devices for communications in emergencies. Anyone know if someone has successfully used them in the LA fires (or other non-test situations)?

cc: AI6YR Ben (npub1ucv…5a8g)

Fediverse communities.

I strongly suspect that, on the median admin team, there is a lot more expertise in, e.g., running Postgres than in small-organization governance. And that carries over to the types of guides that are written up and general advice.

We’ll likely try to find a new one.

If you have contrary nonprofit experience, I’d love to hear about it; it may just be that our referral network is too high end or something!
