They removed her stitches. A blood test showed very high levels related to her liver, so she had to stay in for the day to have an ultrasound to see if it was a tumor or something else.<br/><br/>Her ultrasound showed nothing untoward internally, other than what you might expect from a 9 year old dog.<br/><br/>She&#39;s now on some antibiotics, a liver support supplement, and Gabapentin to help with pain and anxiety. We&#39;ve also taken her off all her other medication to give her liver a break, and she&#39;s on a special low fat high fibre diet.<br/><br/>We give it two weeks and then it&#39;s back for another blood test, hoping those numbers have started to improve. None of this is cheap, but as you know, she&#39;s a part of our family.
