my NixOS experience always goes like this tbh. someone says "doing X is easy, I simply run `nix do-the-X`" and then you run the command and it's like `error: you do not possess the ninja ranks to do-the-X`.

So i look up how to gain ninja ranks and every tutorial is of the form "For users of `nix-maid`, add `maid.afterschool-classes := [_karate_]` to your `~/.maidrc`, where `_karate_` stands for the integral over your current config's jujutsu quotients. See the documentation on integrals for more info on how to compute one."

So then i go to the Nix wiki for "integral" and the full contents of the page are like: "You should think of an integral is when you add a bunch of things together, but more continuous. Here is an example: `∫ 0 dx = 0`. Integrals need to be written upside-down unless your nix is *crunchy*."

So then i go to the Nix wiki for "crunchy" and it says "A crunchy nix does some things better than a lumpy nix but is incompatible with everything. Everyone uses crunchy nix except for the authors of the wiki, because Palantir is paying them not to. To crunchify your NixOS, rename every file from `*.nix` to `*.crunchynix` and fix any errors that come up."

So i rename all my files and the first error that pops up is "error: enabling crunchy Nix requires doing the X." etc.
