The Liberals are determined to turn Canada into a surveillance state and share data with other "eyes" countries including the USA. This government is not looking to protect Canadians. And they haven't taken the objections on board, as evidenced by their statements that they need to "define" encryption, and that "the new amendments will aim to align the bill's encryption provisions with US counterparts." How can you look at all the history of the USA spying on its own citizens and think "Yep, Canada should copy that"? Not a government that's serving Canadians.

I can't help but notice that in response to people's concern that *Meta* may be able to read people's messages, the Meta spokesperson responds that *WhatsApp* can't read them. A little bit of administrative juggling on Meta's end so that the team with access to the messages doesn't fall within the WhatsApp department, and both claims could be true.

Why should undocumented people die for a crime while documented people shouldn't? It's the same crime. What possible argument is there for this except "It's cheaper just to kill them, and we don't give a fuck"? Effectively it's execution for not having your papers in order.

Also, won't this be used as the start of an excuse to kill whichever undocumented person they round up? And then to kill them in bulk, and then to kill the other people they decide to round up? There's no reason whatsoever to trust this administration. They don't believe in justice or laws.

The USA needs to find a way to get rid of these Nazis fast, or it'll be too late to mount any effective resistance.
