Brin is worth the same as every other human on the planet.

I don’t think it’s the same at all, and I say this from conversations IRL withe people who normally vote across all three parties, or at least, have previously but who right now recognize that the most important thing at this moment is unity, and singular purpose, and everything else can be sorted in meetings behind closed doors. “Copyright” is quite literally a body of laws which recognize the property owner’s exclusive right to control the “copying” of the property, of the work. If anyone can use any property they can access - legally or not presently authorized by law - to build their own commercial product (and all of these are commercial products), without need for authorization, then the concept is gutted (as Musk and Altman want).

I think it would really help more Americans understand the gravity of what has been going on if media stopped using phrases like “reverse the results of the election” which is not a thing, or “overturn the election”, (also not a thing), and started using the language the rest of the world uses: attempted coup.
