You’ll see it when viewed at an angle to the surface. The glass in that window is obscured or patterned. It’s just a pump at the water heater and a special valve installed under the sink. No additional plumbing needed. On the left are “Mohawk” an heirloom Iroquois cultivar that dates back to prehistory (apparently like pinto beans).
