So my inner OCD kicked in and resolved the mismatches so they both look alike now. I am currently running under Wayland but do keep flicking back every once in a while as I miss nice things like redshift and currently there is nothing for Wayland in the OpenBSD ports. Also I my wee retro brain keeps wanting me back in xterm although foot is nice too. Worked a treat no more errors until they went to sea again. So today I went back aboard and buzzed out the cable from the antenna control unit which was perfectly ok and decided to swap out the antenna control unit. To be 100% sure I volunteered to go out to see even though it was extremely rough out and the sea was breaking over the Peterhead breakwaters. To my delight after the vessel being thrown about for an hour the VSAT never skipped a beat and the crew were happy with their internet.
