The best way to fulfill such a feat is to get to know your friends over a long period of time. Like, more than two years, minimum. The longer the better.

It sounds great to move in on a whim with crinkle friends at first, especially if you’ve spent brief time with them at cons/meets. Those tend to bring out the best side of people and the vibes will be amazing. But if they don’t have the capacity to set boundaries and commit to responsibilities with you outside those scenarios, and vice versa, things can fall apart quickly.

The key to a stable home with other people is treating them as a roommate first, friend second. It sounds a bit cold and there’s nothing wrong with helping each other out from time to time as long as debts get repaid. But I would say money and lack of understanding personal space are the #1 factor of households falling apart.

If someone is irresponsible with money (for example) to where their bills and rent are constantly behind, but they always buy new toys, cub clothes and diapers without paying back, your friendship with them will sour in a matter of months.

That’s not to say there aren’t nuances to all of this. Sometimes, friends get laid off or fired for bad reasons. Sometimes, mental illness takes over and they stop taking care of themselves. That’s when it’s okay to be more friend than roommate, especially when you know they can be responsible any other times.

I think I got all the basics: Be clean, be respectful, do your best to pay your bills on time, and everything good will follow

It’s reasonable to have a bitter taste after a negative experience with the site owner. However, they’ve made significant improvements and clearer guidelines as to what is and isn’t allowed. They opened up a conversation between this part of the community after the huge backlash and exodus of artists. As a result, they now have babyfur and ABDL mods on staff to deal with this stuff. Babyfur and ABDL are now separated categories (rightfully so), while cub porn is still banned and promptly deleted.

Overall? I definitely like the direction the site is going that I might re-enable my account soon. It definitely feels a lot safer to start posting again
