Also, it's not really AI, apparently, but more of an algorithm, which led someone to a hypothesis that the whole ruse was to satisfy (mostly crypto) investors. Polish language has a couple of attempts here. One is "enszitifikacja," which is a straight cliche. The other one is "gównowacenie," which is a transaltion. But the best one is "gównia pochyła," which is a play on words with "równia pochyła" (slippery slope), where "slope" is tranformed into "shit." The rationale is that once you're on it, you just roll down, and there's no going back.

(I also saw "rozpierdoszana," but I don't even know how to explain it. :D)

Content-wise, 80% of people use mobile devices to access content, so you need a single column look in place anyway, and I always find it distracting. When you're in the article, that's the only thing you should see. But I'm a radical in this minimalism.

I love the rewind functionality in DSDA Doom. All those monster lockers don't piss me off any more. Neither small errors of judgement. Instead of saving between fights, which I often forget, I just rewind. And exploration is less endangering for the level's progress. It's like Doom but with time-travel.

I decided to try DSDA Doom, which is getting whole lot of recommendations, and my, oh my, isn't it smooth experience. There's only a handful of settings, but I got all like I wanted. My favourite new thing (kind of, it was in PrBoom+) is the crosshair locking on a target, which allows me to see who am I shooting. It's also helpful in the darkness. I will miss some of Doom Retro climatic improvements, though.

Someone made a Doom map that has 90,000 monsters (for comparison, nuts.wad is *only* 10,000). It's called "Oversaturation." I started watching a playthrough, which is 6-hour long, and I was even planning to split it into 1-hour chunks, like a series, but then I saw that it's only part 1 of I don't know how many. I played "Odyssey of Noises," map 29 from "The Plutonia Experiment," yesterday. I must have played it many years ago for the last time, so I was curious about how the vague memory holds. Turns out I had something bigger in mind. While the map grew with me in my memory, it shrank in comparison to modern mapping. It also had surprisingly monotonic texturing. But the gameplay holds. I played "Liminal Doom 2," and got to an exit, but it seemed still a lot to do, so I decided to quick-save, go to the exit (to make sure), and then load again. But I had `autosave` on, and it overwrote my save. 😭

After two decades with (G)ZDoom and over a decade with Doom Retro, I got used to non-infinitely-tall monsters, so KEXDoom reverting to the traditional approach is something I need to get accustomed to. On the bright sight, I can chainsaw them at ledges. Plus, which apparently is Boom-related, monsters can fall of the ledge and something that was meant to be a turret is now chasing me. :D

Also, saving and loading makes monsters lose their intention, so I save only between rooms/actions.
