The forest town basically has two businesses: the general store and the hardware-store-plus-auto-shop—both community hubs. The wonderful owner of the latter, in his mid-70s, is having trouble finding reliable mechanics and seems at his wits’ end. The current two guys seem . . . more interested in other things. My guess is that the right person or people, doing a good chunk of respected work, could eventually run things. The community is a mix of persuasions who more-or-less make it work; an even keel is key. Cost of living can be high unless you’re lucky and/or give it time; this endeavor would be more about being in this beautiful place. Let me know if you’d like more info.
