Our kids hacked themselves around it by opening/clicking a link to YouTube in other apps with embedded browser, like WhatsApp or the Google Search app. You really have to block it in your router. But then they start switching to their mobile plan. I also found out that every (social) app now mimics TikTok by offering clips, too: Instagram Reels, Snapchat Spotlight, Spotify Clips, etc. So they also defer to those.
