Iran's citizens have not ever felt fear of an attack on them by Israel, because it has never happened. Israel has targeted key figures like top nuclear scientists responsible for Iran's nuclear program, or murderers like Haniyeh who are are welcomed by the Iranian regime. Israel also destroyed Osirak (a nuclear weapons research facility) in 1981. The casualty counts of Israeli action in Iran can probably be tallied on two hands. To pretend otherwise is a lie.

By contrast, Israelis all live within sprinting distance of bomb shelters because Iran has actually targeted our civilians. The tens of thousands of missiles that Iranian proxies in Lebanon and Gaza have fired at our civilians with deadly, deliberate intent. The missiles that Iran itself fired at our cities this past summer — those are actual threats.

Every spot of gray you see in these images is not paint. It is where shrapnel from the 1 (one) missile impacted the yellow concrete.

Every tiniest spot on these walls is like a bullet. Bullets blooming in 360 degrees. Leaving what looks like splatter marks on the bomb shelter that the victims could not reach.

Tens of thousands of these have been fired at us. For decades. We had to build some science-ficition level missile interception shit. Every dwelling in Israel comes with a bomb shelter by code.

Not the subhed though. That's still trash. "Israeli-controlled Golan Heights". It's been fifty years. Some Druze are commanders of elite units in the military.

It's an Israeli city in the north with literally nothing resembling military value. It might have been targeted, but if you're so inaccurate you might hit a soccer field many kilometers from anything like a military target, then perhaps you don't care about murdering civilians.

The only thing that was special about *this* rocket is that it killed those poor kids.

Because Hezbollah has fired many, many, many rockets over the last decades. Many many. Maybe not quite as many as those fired from Gaza, which was in the tens of thousands.

This image and headline are chosen for maximum confusion. Who murdered children? It looks like an arab village, yeah?

I mean, it is one, in Israel. But someone who doesn't know and is skimming? Little dopamine hit of misplaced outrage. This is a fantastic example of the low-key racist manipulation that is everywhere.

This is not accidental.

The article itself is pretty decent. Not many people know about the Druze. It's an interesting segment of Israeli society.
