OK Mastodon, please meet my new kitty, Watcher-of-Dreams.

He's very skittish. Apparently he was terrorised in the recent past, so even though I've had him for three weeks now, he's still running away from me when I 'change shape' (eg stand up, get dressed, etc).

But my god is he affectionate. I loves him.

RIP Speaker-to-Animals, 2015-2024

Speaker passed away peacefully in my arms shortly before 4pm today, September 1. He had been sick for a while, but deteriorated rapidly over the last couple of days. He was assisted on his new adventure by the wonderful Dr Jess, working on behalf of Rest Your Paws - https://restyourpaws.com.au/

Farewell, Speaker. I miss you with all of my heart, and I will love you until the end of time. You truly were the best little baby boy I could have ever hoped to have.

He's staying in kitty hospital overnight with a drip just to make sure all the whatever toxin he has in those kidneys is flushed out.

nothing positive. He has eaten maybe a couple of mouthfuls of dry food all weekend. Back to the vet tomorrow, but he's still happy. He was chasing a moth around the bedroom at 4 o'clock this morning. I'm very worried :(

if it really is lily poisoning, there's nothing I can do except make sure he's eating and drinking. Maybe keep him hooked up to a drip for a few days if he's showing no improvement, to try to flush the toxins out of food system.

It might be too late though, because he's been off his food for a while. I had no idea there were even any lilies in this garden 😭

And she's back on the road after SEVEN WEEKS!

...and still not completely fixed. Still to do in the engine bay:
* Head gasket
* Air conditioner compressor

Elsewhere:
* Front brake pads
* Front brake rotors
* Front tension rods
* New alarm system
* New speakers/sound system
* New boot lid
* Respray

But I'm out of money and kind of annoyed that the head gasket wasn't even looked at while the engine was out of the car. At least twelve more months before I can get the rest done.
