The memory requirement tends to slowly grow rather than explosively demand a lot from the start like Ruby/RoR did. Also, you&#39;re right about almost no one using Django anymore unless it&#39;s like a small-ish site because it doesn&#39;t really scale unless you pull every trick to keep it performant, and at that point I&#39;m pretty sure resource requirements start shooting up (Redis, CDNs, etc.).
