I&#39;ve got a used S19 on the way so was a bit worried about dropping it into oil so planning on using a hydro conversion kit instead.<br/><br/>We just had solar PV fitted with a battery but the heating system uses a gas combi for radiators and the HW tank so we can&#39;t easily dump excess solar into the HW tank. Not sure how much that would save anyway if there&#39;s little demand at peak solar.<br/><br/>I figured that a buffer tank is just an extra battery but way cheaper than an electric one. So hopefully we can run the miner when we&#39;re getting excess solar and use the cheap rate at night to &#34;charge&#34; the buffer tank.
