That's a tricky projection. In the UK, we are a small enough country that public transport could have been expanded to reach all but the most remote areas.
The US, Australia, and other large countries, especially those with large rural areas, would have had much greater difficulty in providing sufficient transport for those living outside cities and towns.
Would this have been fair to those people living there?

One of the biggest curses of Beeching isn't the closed lines. It's the trackbed sold off and then built on, thus preventing us from quickly and easily reopening the routes.
Beeching went scorched earth to prevent further use.

I believe the orange baby is doing a poor job of running America, and should cede control back to #greatbritain. We did own America, after all, until an illegal uprising forced the British to withdraw.
Alternatively, they could join the commonwealth, and adopt King Charles as the head of state.
Trump should bow down to the one true king!

Why do people, especially Americans, have such a beef with vaccines?
They have scientifically researched ways of reducing lethal and debilitating diseases, but they are refused by so many.
I read that Louisiana wants to ban all seasonal vaccines, flu, COVID-19 etc. and possibly to stop recommending the usual childhood vaccines, MMR, Polio etc.
Utter madness. Polio and Measles kill people. And vaccines stop that; only if they are given to a sufficiently high percentage of the population.
