Then, all the sudden, the bear jumps into action. They have to be quick and precise.<br/><br/>This bear seemed very proud of its catch. Got there at sunrise, saw a few separate herds but too far for good photos. Walked in the forest and stepped in a pile of wapiti shit. Later on my camera attached to my tripod fell in the stinky mud. No damage, just dirt. Never a dull moment. They prevented the bears from catching salmon, foraging for crabs and feeding on grass. <br/><br/>This type of selfish behaviour is detrimental to the survival of bears that need to fatten up before winter.
