Just do it!”<br/><br/>Even as an adult I don’t understand this. If it’s not a big deal, why would they still be insisting that I do the thing? And if it’s a big deal, surely they can easily tell me why I should do it? Either it’s a big enough deal for me to do it against my other wishes and for the reason to be easy to articulate or it’s not. Adults were getting worked up over the smallest, meaningless refusals growing up. Then they would turn around and tell me with no irony I couldn’t take “No” for an answer. 🤔 Truly baffling.
