I decided that the late stage of the beta process was a suitable moment to upgrade my server. Several days of debugging and configuration changes ensued, but not due to its being a beta version. The most complex problem was to adjust to the new (backward-incompatible) syntax of the Dovecot 2.4 IMAP configuration.
