Just sent a mail to some 75 addresses I still had from the Tromsö International Student Union in 2001. Of course most addresses will be no longer in use, but perhaps I get lucky, some of those people are still in town?
Would be awesome to have a small reunion.

(why I didn't keep in touch better, you may ask? Well, communications were different back then and with most of those people contact was not that close. With some I still have contact, but they moved to other places)

I totally unexpectedly ran a kind of PB over 10 k tonight. Not official as I changed clothing after the first round, but if you remove those 45 to 60 seconds. The 53:17 turns into a 52:30 something, which is better than the standing 52:46 mark.
Never ever thought I'm at the form needed for such a time right now.

Probably Tromsdalstind (1.243 m) climb won't happen. The mountaintop hidden in clouds is at 790 and still well covered in snow. I doubt it's going to melt all within the next two weeks.
So most likely I have to come back one more time to do that hike.
(in general I don't hike through bigger snow fields anymore)
