For example, the top-end 2019 Mac Pro GPU beats the M2 Ultra GPU in the SoC in 2022 model and can have almost 8 times as much RAM, neither of which can be upgraded unlike on the 2019 model. For 98% of people, this is unnecessary. But for many of those who went for the 2019 Mac Pro, it is likely unacceptable, and now they'll have to leave Apple.

(KDE 1.0 being released in 12 July 1998 and GNOME 1.0 released on 3 March 1999, so yes it is.) Still nice to see that in this regard, there's still some appreciation for both sides!

Still, looking back, it's impressive to see where both desktops started from and where both desktops ended up!

Wayland, like Windows and macOS, can. I also have had zero problems with Wayland on an Nvidia GPU (two newer models, but still).

What do you actually need for Wayland that X11 has but not Wayland. And don't say accessibility, because that barely worked even in a good day in X11.
