Do you have 5.25" and 8" floppy disks that are spare, low-quality, degrading, or just generally in bad shape?

I'd like to take my floppy disk data recovery game to the next level. I have equipment, but there's no substitute for experience. Therefore I'm looking for loose collections of old floppy disks to practice on. I'm especially interested in working with disks where the binder affixing the media to the donut is starting to fail.

I'm in London; will pay shipping; can pick up disks around here as well. Boosts are appreciated!

So I'm interested in running my own SMTP server at home, which means I need port 25 I guess and an IP that gmail hasn't already block-banned. Can anyone recommend a London ISP that fits the bill?

It’s just turned November here — that wraps up #RetroChallenge 2024! I dedicated my month to reviving an early 1980s [#PERQ 2T2](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PERQ ) graphical workstation. Went up to around eleven grand. I forget how many transputers were inside.

You don't need an ATW to use transputers or Helios, but of course I would take one if offered. Until then, I've got a mismatched set of seven transputer modules (TRAMs) on a B008 ISA card in my IBM PC AT.

#RetroChallenge side quest: So You Want To Program an AM2732 EPROM with Your TL866II+: the programming voltage Vpp is +24V and the TL866II+ can only do +18V tops. With a bench power supply, an LM339 comparator, and a 2N3904 NPN transistor, I got the Vpp boost I needed.
