MOSFET advise? For the design of my new version of TV-B-Gone kit, I'm currently struggling with finding a through-hole power MOSFET that can be driven with 3.3V, and that, in turn, can drive 4 (or more) IR LEDs. Any suggestions?

I just found out that Microchip has a link to a database of 78 DIY synthesizers that use their AVR chips. My ArduTouch is listed there -- along with lots of other way cool DIY synths. :)

For anyone really into soldering, the newly released soldering iron from iFixit is really nice! They gave me one to try out a couple months ago, and I find it a joy to use. It heats up almost instantly, the tip always cleans easily, and it runs on any USB-C power supply, including a USB-C battery bank.
