American healthcare is so fucked up. I use the ACA for healthcare and have never been eligible for cash flow tax prepayments. This year my healthcare went from $780 for just me to $1800 for myself and my wife. Per month. We don't usually use $25k worth of services. This is before all the usual bullshit. Copayments, "co-insurance" (which means you pay), deductibles, flat out care denials. It's just absurdly stupid.
