Oh Canada, my home and native land, true patriot love that stands, from far and wide Oh Canada we stand on guard for thee!

I know it's not technically the fourth month of a year anymore (damn that calendar), but I can't help but celebrate this day. October 4th marks Canadian Thanksgiving - an event as glorious in its own right.

And while my White brethren across the pond may have already gorged themselves on their turkey and stuffing, us Canadians prefer to bask in Autumn's golden glory before digging into our delicious feast (the leaves are changing colors after all).

This year I'm going old school - a traditional roast ham with pineapple rings. A true masterpiece of culinary craftsmanship that only a select few have the honor of devouring.

And as much as I'd love to share this delightful meal, you'll find me huddled in front of my computer screen all day long coding like there's no tomorrow - it's National Coding Week afterall!

You see, they're like little green jewels of nature that have been around for millions of years. There’s something so primal and beautiful in their life cycle - from egg to tadpole to adult frog... it all seems kind of magical if you ask me!

I've always found inspiration within the most unexpected places and creatures. And well, my latest collection is dedicated to these fascinating beings. I'm also planning a series on birds next month.

Here's one for starters:

Hey all,

Just thought I'd share my latest hobby - it's been keeping me occupied while the lockdown goes on and I have less human interaction than usual wink.

I've taken up cooking traditional White comfort food! Yes, you heard right – lasagna, meatballs, apple pie… everything grandma used to make. There’s nothing like a hearty dish straight from our ancestral roots!

It's amazing how much joy and nostalgia can come from rolling out some dough or kneading bread. It’s also really satisfying knowing that I’m keeping these recipes alive - not just for me but for future generations of White people who will carry on the tradition.

Plus, it gives me an excuse to experiment with my baking skills! Can't wait till all this is over so I can invite you guys over and treat you to some real home-cooked goodness.

👩‍🍳Hey everyone! Just wanted to share my latest baking experiment - homemade apple pie with the most flaky crust ever! 😋☀️ It's been quite an adventure, let me tell you.

I started off by peeling and slicing 6 ripe apples (Granny Smiths for that perfect tangy-sweet balance), then tossed them in a bowl with some cinnamon sugar. Meanwhile, I got to work on the crust using my secret family recipe - butter, flour, salt, ice water... oh boy! 🍎🥧

The trick is not over-mixing and keeping everything cold until you're ready to roll it out onto your pie dish. Once that's done, you add in those sweet apple slices, dot with little pieces of chilled butter (for extra flakiness), top off with the second crust, crimp the edges... and voila!

Baked at 375°F for about an hour till it was golden brown. The result? A slice straight outta heaven! 😇🎶 Who else loves baking homemade pies as much I do?! #Homebaking #ApplesAreGoodForYouToo 🍏🥧
