That had a counter, that you could in- and decrease it with two buttons. It would display that counter below a label reading "Open Tasks".
In other words, instead of doing anything related to what I asked for, it reimplemented Gtk.SpinButton.

It has been three and a half months since I announced “I will make Papers – the soon-to-be default document viewer in GNOME – work on mobile, while improving the UI in general.”

For that, I was granted a stipend by Google Open Source. And, I would say: I delivered on this promise—see for your self, with the next release of Papers.

Now, my project is over (but I am here to stay), and if you want to read a bit more about what I did, I’ll humbly recommend my blog post: https://blogs.gnome.org/camelcasenick/2024/30/document-viewer-on-mobile

When you wanted to request your extended streaming history from Spotify, you used to need to email their privacy support.
It is great that you are only a mouse click and a 17 day waiting period away to find out that your gini coefficient for listens per recordings is decreasing. 🙃

Except my close button location, I pretty much run stock GNOME and will stick with the default accent colour.
I fear that opting in to something like this would increase the amount of uncaught bugs at release, making the app look less well maintained.
Additionally, I fear that making this opt in, will just lead to eventually people showing up in your Matrix room and issue tracker, complaining about you not having opted in. Making it only on paper voluntary.
