People who do a lot of #Python and also understand what node_modules is: do you [almost] always use a virtual environment of sorts per project, so that you can use dependencies without installing globally, like one would do with node.js and npm install without using -g?

It looks to me like that's the right way, but I see many places that advise global installing and even sharing a venv across folders. I wonder if I'm missing some use case or if people just like playing with fire 🤔

Glad to confirm my suspicions about Lycra and cycling. I’m cycling much less and haven’t seen as much wear on my current jeans. But it’s hard to say from one data point only!
I had forgotten the patches can be uncomfortable, though I started feeling that on the third layer of patching maybe! 😅
I feel a bit like I dispensed some gratuitous advice to you, but I was more like sharing my enthusiasm for patching after I had gone through several pairs in quick succession 😇

I can only recommend patching them up with your sewing machine! I made a pair last 7 years that way until it was too worn down to wear without tearing out when bending. (Do you cycle? I found cycling made things worse)

If you want to end at Paddington and be extorted, take the Heathrow express. Elizabeth has air conditioning and space, and also goes to Paddington and beyond. Piccadilly if you like really tight spaces and going north. I had to take it last when the EL was closed because of fire alert. I wouldn’t take anything other than EL these days!
