When you're using a laptop with Linux, the OS (at least Mint, the distro I use) is able to use both connections simultaneously... I don't think there's an internal load balancer, too lazy to research how networking works on Linux, but the system kinda knows how to juggle the connection across the services and programs, so the loss is minimal.

Windows can't do that, you're either on ethernet or wifi, and it shit itself if you disable the first connection established by the OS. Programs also can't tell which connection to use, I have to disable wifi when I have the eth cable connected because sometimes some browser will open and use the wifi and will refuse to connect because the OS is actually using the wired connection... or at least that's the behavior.

Again, I don't know how networking works on Windows either, and I'm to lazy to research about it, but I think it's a very idiotic strategy from the Kikesoft system.

Anyways, that was my daily rant about having to work with Windows because wagecuckery :akko_weary:
