I looked into it some more and it seems like we might well have passed the safe limit, and you could argue we did that way back at 2 billion depending on how you want to define things.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;It just feels like another thing added onto the existential dread pile though. Because it isn&amp;#39;t like there is a simple solution to the problem because the planet just not having any kids at all would also be a problem assuming that you are pro-humanity surviving at least.

The sources I have seen have said that they carrying capacity is about ~10billion people.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;The issue is not the amount of people in relation to the resources it is the way that the resources are distributed.
