The emotions are runnng high and the mood is heated as a reflection of how truly important this dilemma is. I can't speak for everyone on this side (the pro BIP110), but just for myself, however I'll explain my feelings using "we" because I think you can mostly generalize: We are worried and upset because we are seing this beautiful thing a lot of us care so much about is getting damaged. Bitcoin the perfect money, the one thing capable of separating money and state being corrupted from within. We see spam as something that damages Bitcoin as money. We see the corruption from within Core as an insult to the History of the fights and all the work it took to build the system. We see the change in philosphy towards spam permissiveness as a dangerous mission creep that has to be corrected in order to keep Bitcoin working as the best money that it is supposed to be. We think not standing up to uproot this corruption will end up destroying Bitcoin's soul. The Bitcoin telos is crystal clear money" and the current crop of coredevs is completely detached from it. Most of them dont even believe there is a Bitcoin telos. So they're misguided priorities have no bounding philosophical princilple and they're lost to their postmodern nihilism worldview where Bitcoin can be whatever "the market" decides. so they cater to "usecases"... If this is not stopped and course corrected, Bitcoin becomes decentralized cloud file storage, THEN IN CANNOT SEPARATE MONEY AND STATE, AND IT WONT BE the world's best money. It will be inevitably get more centralized because there will be less and less nodes and it will eventually die as the one chance at freedom money for all mankind. It will live as a SOV asset, and will probably keep going up in price but it will die. It's soul will die.

So from our part this is a battle for the soul of Bitcoin and to save the most important financial tool in human history. The stakes are THIS high. So I think that's the reason why you see people getting angry towards those defending spammers and also towards those not speaking out.

Me, personally I wont grill you and call you names for not taking a stance.

Though I have to say that I think it is a failure of character to not be able to recognize how important this battle is and how big your impact can be.

I think that the precedent of allowing an economically illiterage smug clique of corrupt devs to continue degrading the monetary quality of Bitcoin, not fixing bugs, leaving open attack vectors and exploits, increasing the legal and moral risk, encumbering nodes and endangering node decentralization into the future... those are worse. WAY worse precedents. Each one of those is worse IMO than what you think is a "terrible precedent".
The change is good you accept that. And the only possible bad outcomes would be real in extreme scenarios where enough mining pools get misled and stuck in rigid ideological restraints like the ones you so effectively spread. If the support from the broad community in pressuring the pools to signal BIP110 is strong enough ALL the doomsday scenarios go away and we have a clean non disruptive upgrade that would be good for Bitcoin and the world.

Este problema lleva más de dos años cuajándose y mucha gente no hacía más que voltear la cabeza a un lado, minimizar el problema, burlárse, acusar de ignorantes iletrados, y gaslightear a quienes lo señalábamos. Yes the blocksize is capped and that ensures the bockchain growth won't be overblown... But that's not the real problem. There is no UTXO set size limit and Spam is making the utxo set grow orders of magnitude faster than the price of RAM. That centralization force is what makes me and others worry. Dismiss it as not a big deal is unwise. Si tomamos la inflación CPI y la Dividimos entre el suministro M2 encontramos un gráfico con tendencia secular bajista.

En otras palabras la inflación CPI esta bajando respecto a la inflación monetaria pura.

2) El efecto Cantillon se esta robando el estimulo, porque las instituciones y Bancos están mas cerca de la impresora de dinero que la gente de a pie, esto quiere decir que el dinero de estimulo en la economia se desvía primero y en mayor medida a los activos como la Bolsa, Real Estate y si amigos Bitcoin.

3) Los analistas son en su mayoría unos caras de papa, que dicen que la subida de la Bolsa o Bitcoin son inflacionarios y que se necesita un crash por alguna razón que solo ellos quieren ver (supongo por envidia 😂). Lo que se necesita es que la velocidad monetaria aumente es decir que el dinero cambie de manos mas rápido para crear actividad económica.

4) La Reserva Federal para mantener a sus amigotes ricos necesita que Bitcoin y las bolsas suban, no que aumente la velocidad monetaria que beneficia a los de abajo, por eso este mercado esta amañado al alza y siempre necesita crisis, guerras y otras malas noticias, para crear el estimulo M2 que lo suba mientras los de abajo mueren de hambre.

Conclusión resumida: eres un pendejo si no compras Bitcoin.
