The programming language isn&amp;#39;t all you need to know to *meaningfully* contribute to a project. And I think this is especially true of complex infrastructure tools like transpilers and other deep tools.

I had a lot of large numeric arrays, and they encoded way faster with msgpack and cbor compared to builtin JSON. A binary encoding being fast with lots of binary data seems to make sense. But I may also have cheated by refactoring to use TypedArray varieties for those, which JSON can&amp;#39;t do. It&amp;#39;s long enough ago I don&amp;#39;t remember all the comparisons I did.
