I drove through Denver and headed through the mountains, trying to get through before inclement weather started, but once I was at the highest point the road takes you, the snow started to get abundant and the road started to get a bit slushy. The truckers were ordered by road signs to apply chains so a bunch of trucks pulled to the side to get their tires weather proofed, which made traffic slow to a halt for a bit. I was stopped for long enough to start worrying a little but the traffic started again and we got going slowly.<br/><br/>After like 15 miles, we came out of it and it was only intermittent rain and snow on the way down. The views were some of the most impressive I&#39;ve personally ever seen and it was such a cool drive though the valley. Just great expanses of plains and farmland and wind turbines and occasionally rest stops on the I-80. It is quite lovely out here in that great land sense for how vast this zone is. I rushed over and he was just sitting there because he had fallen but at some point got himself to sit upright. He seemed mostly ok, not bleeding or anything, but he said he had a stroke and his arthritis prevented him from pulling himself up, and that he&#39;d been there for about 15 minutes. I helped him up and gave him my phone number in case something like that happened again, but now I am concerned if it was just unlucky that no one that was around for that long (it&#39;s a semi-densely packed suburb and there&#39;s often people out, but it was already getting dark outside and a little chilly) and that he may not have family there to notice and help him sooner. Anyway, I&#39;m just glad I was there at the right time and that he now has someone to count on in such an event.
