... for hosting my primary fediverse account since gnusocial.net announced it was shutting down, until I managed to set up my own fediverse instance.

I've just unsubscribed from all active accounts (other than yours) that I used to follow here, which may lighten the load on your server, and I probably won't be posting much from here any more, having encouraged others to follow me at my new home: @[lxo](https://gnusocial.net/index.php/user/157720 ) (it became apparent that GNU social will link to gnusocial.net, despite tagging and copying the correct account; that looks like a bug)

if there's an easy way to back up what's left of my account, so that I can keep a local record of my own posts, that would be much appreciated. otherwise, I can probably arrange something myself.

I don't intend to close the account right away, so as to keep the link-forward active for some time, but I will likely do so in due time, if my inactivity doesn't shut it down automatically at some point.

<li>unidades de medida são uma questão cultural diferente do idioma</li>
<li>há vários países falantes do idioma que usam as mesmas unidades que a gente, e que também são vítimas de colonialismo cultural dos império hegemônico</li>
<li>pra quem entende "degrees" ou "graus" implicitamente noutra unidade, especificamente em Fahrenheit, Rio 40 degrees significaria algo bastante diferente: um friozinho corriqueiro</li>
<li>adicionar centigrade, como às vezes se faz aqui (pra esclarecer, mas que não esclarece, porque há diversas escalas centígradas), ou Celsius, ia fazer parecer documentário científico</li>
<li>traduzir referências culturais é difícil mesmo</li>
<li>a gente peca por não resistir ao colonialismo cultural ao manter Fahrenheit 451 na unidade do original. Celsius 232 me parece uma boa versão, que precisa ser popularizada</li>

did it really need to require a browser with javascript enabled with permission to run arbitrary code in it to show anything whatsoever, without any graceful degradation? that's so inaccessible, and it makes it unusable to me and others like me :-(

the conversation didn't start well, it got very informative, but it got tiring to watch you unrelentingly trying to staple some contradiction onto radek. ISTM you're projecting prejudice. it doesn't look good. I wish the conversation would go back to respectful and informative, it would be more in line with what I've learned to expect from you, and why I've often enjoyed reading what you share.
