They've worked in linux for a loooong time. The very first HTPC I built was a mythTV box, and having deep air mouse MCE remote integration was a selling point. I saw a demonstration of a "home of the future" running mythTV using the gyration MCE remote and HAD to build something like it. What a cool machine that was. You could pop a DVD into it and it had a full ten-foot UI for ripping the DVD right from your remote. We're talking like 2003 here.
