They might indeed have their place for niche Linux distros as they bundle the syslibs within their binary so you don&amp;#39;t have to link dynamically against the local ones.

Similarly the libs aren&amp;#39;t recent enough but also not small enough to be of interest for CI. &lt;br/&gt;So it&amp;#39;s hard to find an argument building distinct binaries for it. &lt;br/&gt;I guess most just build from source. &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;WRT to r2u: I am not a fan of it and don&amp;#39;t recommend using it. I think it&amp;#39;s the fundamental wrong approach to language binaries.

The total duration was ~ 2 weeks, or maybe a bit longer even, depending on when the library update happened. &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Most likely nobody noticed yet as most people don&amp;#39;t update their syslib reguraly (enough). &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;(And yes, I didn&amp;#39;t report it on purpose immediately as I was curious to find out what happens as I already reported the last case before that for libgit2 ~ 1.5 years ago)
