      In reply to &lt;a href=&#39;/nevent1qqsxzekl7uj5gxpgutdmercgzc9d0m5fspf4ety5ktlekr5nzdpyxeqr8ff82&#39;&gt;nevent1q…ff82&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br/&gt;_________________________&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;wow, nice writeup! i was mostly reflecting on graphic design jobs in the past, where my superiors accepted the design as it was following specifications to the letter, yet i got chewed out that even though i did a good job, i worked too fast, and i should&amp;#39;ve taken my sweet time with the task, because they have to negotiate with the clients... while i don&amp;#39;t have a problem with milking rich corpo clients, it still felt a lot like that i wasn&amp;#39;t really spending my time at the office because it was absolutely necessary, but because the higher-ups said so - in a way it also felt like that the &amp;#34;vibe check&amp;#34; at the interview wasn&amp;#39;t really about &amp;#34;if i fit the company culture&amp;#34;, but how enthusiastic i am about being exploited doing what i like doing, and how well i follow orders...

      i was thinking about the concept of a job, and experiences with having a job, and people tend to think that they are paid to work, to finish tasks, and create value, but if you work fast, you get scolded and be paid the same, and if you work slow, you get scolded and be paid the same... which basically suggests that a job isn&amp;#39;t paying the completion of tasks, but how well you submit to authority, and sacrifice your finite time and energy from your day for that authority 🤔
