      On servers with 64 cores, does it make sense to let a single process use 100% of the 64 cores?&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;I think not. The OS by default should cap the usage to 63 cores. The last core can then be used to run essential software, like ssh.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;The performance reduction is only about 1/64, that is 1.5%. At the same time, you can be sure the system stays stable and reachable via ssh.
