This evening there were sit-ins and demonstrations for #Gaza on almost every Dutch central station. It were the most visited station sit-ins as far as I can remember. This is from #Utrecht CS were I attended. I guess there were almost 1000 people (not a few hundred like the media told us). The front hall was completely full (only a narrow strip, so people could get to their trains and busses). In #Amsterdam CS there were according to the same media 1500 people.

After the sit-in, there was a march through Hoog Catharijne (main mall) and the old city center, ending at the city hall.

What we see in #Valencia, is what we are going to see all over the world. This is the naked reality of the climate crisis.

People have the right to be super angry and taking it out on King #Felipe. Because a royal family likes to see itself as a symbol, so let them symbolise the failure of state and capital. Yes, let them take it out on the state and its institutions!

But beware! At such times, people are extra vulnerable to #fascism. Fascists will do everything in their power to channel this anger towards marginalised minorities, after which the fascists can take over. We are already seeing this, but right now they are parasitising on people's insecurities. So it is important to keep making it clear to people that they should direct their anger upwards, and not downwards. After all, it are the capitalists and (authoritarian) rulers who have caused the climate crisis. Never forget that!
