For you pixelfed experts: pixelfed.social is crawling for me, I’m guessing due to influx of new users. Are the smaller instances worth migrating to for better performance? #pixelfed #fedihelp

I set up a monthly donation to Wikipedia, I can’t be sitting idly by while the richest man on earth calls for its downfall. We can’t afford to lose our Library of Alexandria. Consider donating as well if you are financially able. #wikipedia #donation

The Verge was never my favorite tech news outlet but this new “Highlights of 2024” video really shows just how deep in the AI rabbit hole they have fallen, and the tech industry as a whole. Every single one of their nominations (except for the Alienware monitor, which is just an excellent screen) I consider junk, either from AI slop features or predatory subscriptions.

I’m not crazy here, right? There was a lot of cool tech this year that wasn’t part of the latest hype craze that didn’t even get a mention.

https://youtu.be/yYjBf94WY2M #AI #tech
