this has been a real problem for me. Especially when the link preview bot once sent us 80 requests per second when it got stuck in a loop on our site for reasons I couldn’t possibly imagine. Even more fun is the fact that there is no one to talk to at Meta about this. Even *more* fun than that is if you ban the bot, they can no longer read your ToS, and will deactivate any integrations you have with them.

I haven’t done nearly as much testing as you have, but from the little that I have done, I think you would have to spend at least $500 USD on an electric grinder to beat the best hand grinders — which are a fraction of that price!

I’ve spent more time than is reasonable figuring out why my network Time Machine backups were failing. A lot of the time, at least for me, it comes down to multiple mounts of the same drive. I don’t know why macOS does this. I ended up nuking all my Time Machine and NAS credentials and now everything seems okay 🤞
