I see no reason to shy away from ads and subscriptions. Ads should be done respectfully- follow the magazine model and only be connected to a specific service. For example, clients should be able to show ads in a tasteful manner and if that bothers people they can just use a different client. I’d much rather see people’s dollars going to spaces like these as opposed to Musk and Zucks businesses.
