His fans went to alternate platforms eventually culminating in Trump making (more like self hosting) his own social media network and his fans moving there. That is a bubble.<br/><br/>Then Elon bought Twitter and started unbanning many controversial &amp; right-winged accounts, as well as other things, and a bunch of people from the left moved to Mastodon, ultimately resulting in yet another bubble.<br/><br/>Now there are two clear bubbles with X still being a middle ground. Also a lot of crap is given to centralised platforms like Reddit, Twitter, etc, but I feel like they have been quite good at moderation (bar bots recently on Twitter).
